Welcome to the website of Phoenix CPC Ltd,

" We provide corrosion investigation and mitigation services to the Oil & Gas and Industrial sectors to minimise deterioration of assets by metallic corrosion.".

With a combined experience of over 50 years in corrosion investigation, mitigative design, application of preventative measures and ongoing monitoring.
Phoenix CPC has worked with some of the industry leaders in the field of Cathodic Protection and corrosion mitigation.

Corrosion is the deterioration of a metal as a result of chemical reactions between it and the surrounding environment.
If left unprotected, submerged infrastructure can become hazardous and expensive to restore.

Our Cathodic Protection services will enable you to correctly assess the status of your assets and make informed maintenance decisions.

Cathodic protection (CP) is a technique used to control the corrosion of a metal surface by making it the cathode of an electrochemical cell
A simple method of protection connects the metal to be protected to a more easily corroded "sacrificial metal" to act as the anode.
The sacrificial metal then corrodes instead of the protected metal.

For structures such as long pipelines, where passive galvanic cathodic protection is not adequate, an external DC electrical power source is used to provide sufficient current.
Cathodic protection systems protect a wide range of metallic structures in various environments.
Common applications are steel water or fuel pipelines and steel storage tanks such as home water heaters; steel pier piles; ship and boat hulls;
offshore oil platforms and onshore oil well casings; offshore wind farm foundations and metal reinforcement bars in concrete buildings and structures.
Another common application is in galvanized steel, in which a sacrificial coating of zinc on steel parts protects them from rust.
Cathodic protection can, in some cases, prevent stress corrosion cracking.

‘’At Phoenix we aim to provide the best possible value to our clients and at the same time guaranteeing the highest quality of services available in the field of cathodic protection’’

Metal structures and pipelines that run through an electrolyte (water or are submerged underground), are vulnerable to corrosion.
a problem for a range of sectors,
including oil and petrochemical companies, ports and jetties, water authorities and government organisations.

To safeguard these valuable assets, Cathodic Protection delivers the most cost-effective solution available, ideal for industrial installations which come into contact with the sea, ground water and rivers.
Cathodic Protection assists to prevent leaks, pollution, expensive repairs and replacements.

While ageing infrastructure remains a major concern for utilities, corrosion is especially threatening for water companies given many of their assets are in contact with electrolytes via sea, groundwater, and rivers by default.

"Our Phoenix CPC corrosion protection team are experts in the application of Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) and Sacrificial Anode Systems"

Using qualified cathodic protection engineers Phoenix CPC can provide an industry-leading service, complementing its range of tank and pipeline services.
Covering feasibility studies, engineering design, installation, commissioning and maintenance,
Cathodic Protection from Phoenix CPC will help prevent corrosion and breakdown, while increasing the service life of treated equipment.

Installation And Maintenance

Our team of qualified cathodic protection engineers provide a specialist corrosion protection service, which covers feasibility studies, engineering design, installation, commissioning and maintenance.

Cathodic Protection from Phoenix CPC will help prevent corrosion and breakdown, while increasing the service life of metallic assets.

  • Cost effective designs to minimise the expenses involved in environmental clean-up and plant repair
  • Safeguards against corrosion and provides additional asset protection
  • Pipeline conditions monitored, using Close Interval Potential Surveys (CIPS) and Direct Current Voltage Gradient (DCVG) survey methods, providing accurate GPS for low protection locations and damage along any given pipeline
  • Test facilities installed at regular intervals
  • The installation of Surge Arrestors and Isolation Flange Kits to ensure isolation between the cathodic protection system, above ground pipework and grounding mats to ensure protection is achieved.

Subsea Cathodic Protection Services

We can conduct both ROV and Trailing Wire methods. Our subsea equipment, along with our new Fawkes CP Software, has been designed and built using the extensive experience and knowledge of our engineers. Phoenix offers the complete offshore CP inspection package, which includes;

  • CP Equipment
  • Data Acquisition Software
  • Experienced and Qualified Engineers
  • Data Processing and Reporting
